TEDx Talks
Michelle CooperI'm excited to say that I saw Travis Davis speak at the TED South Congress event in Austin. Travis is not only a great speaker, but an incredible human. He uses an acronym aligned with the word CRUTCH to speak to how to create real relationships with the disabled community.
The letters pair with words/concepts on how best to think about, interact and see the broader talent of your fellow humans. My favorite is the H, which stands for Heart as it struck me that we could all use a bit more Heart with each other these days. I highly recommend this TED talk, his previous TED talk, his Podcast, and even hiring Travis to speak to your team/company!
Travis Davis delivered one of the most powerful talks at TEDx South Congress, reminding us that we all carry crutches, whether visible or not. His message of resilience, creativity, and heart challenged us to rethink inclusion not as a checkbox, but as a path to strength and innovation.Merill Davis
Karen CourterTravis is one of the most inspiring individuals I’ve encountered. Through his openness and vulnerability in sharing his personal journey with disability, Travis creates a safe and welcoming space for others to reflect on their own challenges and ask meaningful questions.
He beautifully reframes adversity, reminding us that our struggles can become our superpowers. His message around “CRUTCHes”—Creativity, Resilience, Understanding, Trust, Confidence, and Heart—is both memorable and deeply impactful.
If you're looking for a speaker who will move your audience, spark important conversations, and leave a lasting impression, I wholeheartedly recommend Travis. His presence is a true gift!
Travis is a powerful, thought-provoking, and deeply moving speaker. His ability to weave personal experience with a broader message about resilience and inclusion left a lasting impression on me. Travis challenges us to rethink what holds us back—our ‘crutches’—and show how to transform them into strengths. I walked away feeling both inspired and equipped with a new perspective.Sean Hale
